About the Artist – Karina Mansfield
’20 Icons Collection’
Karina Mansfield was born in Brazil but has been living in the UK for the last 12 years with her husband and three boys. After graduating in Early Years Education back in 2000 Karina worked in various school both in Brazil and here in the UK.
In 2017, Karina made the decision to reduce her work hours at a children’s nursery to invest more time and energy on her hobby/passion of creating artworks. Karina started to create digital illustrations of local landscapes, architecture and portraits. Over time Karina developed her own personalised technique – best described as a vibrant, minimal, pop art style.
Utilising social media, orders started coming in from clients across the globe – Australia, Brazil, Canada, Norway, Singapore, etc. What began as a creative idea, blossomed into a commercial success and Karina made the decision to become a full time digital artist in early 2018.
Karina finds the opportunity that social media provides very empowering. From the positive feedback, the camaraderie from other artists and the general buzz of selling artwork to the public on a global scale.
This exhibition of 20 icons of popular music is a collaboration with David Courtney at Arundel Pianos. A collection of great musicians given the Karina vibrant and minimal style…
